MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE: STUDENTS ARE TALKING AT DOZIER
This year Dozier implemented the use of a proven instructional strategy, MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE, where our teachers give the students opportunities to TALK during class (because that is what they enjoy doing). They aren't talking about the recent movie they saw or what their weekend plans are; they are talking WITH PURPOSE about MATH, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES, ENGLISH, PE, ART, and SPANISH! We have Meaningful Dialogue Mondays, where we showcase different classes using this strategy. We ask that you continue this strategy at home by having MEANINGFUL DIALOGUES with your students about their day. Ask them how they used MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE in class and what did they learn by talking with a partner.
